Car Crashes Into Woods In Southington, Teen Killed

The accident happened early Sunday morning.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — An 18-year-old male is dead after the vehicle he was driving was found crashed into a wooded area in Southington Sunday morning.

According to WFSB Channel 3, the victim has been identified as Joshua Ryan Chevalier, 18., who was found dead inside the vehicle in a wooded area.

Fox 61said a nearby police officer heard the crash happen at about 5 a.m. Sunday on Main Street.

The Southington Police Department reported via social media that Main Street was closed from Carter Lane to Maple Street for a "serious motor vehicle collision."

It reported that the Southington Police Accident Investigation Team was on scene investigating.
