19 Charges Added To Southington Shooting Spree Case

A 74-year-old man accused of shooting up buildings and homes in Southington and the Connecticut Capitol is facing more charges.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — More charges were levied Tuesday against a 74-year-old Southington man implicated in a May shooting spree in which shots were fired at a church and several homes and buildings in Southington as well as the state Capitol.

During a court appearance in the case, Southington police officially charged Floyd Gollnick for shooting incidents at 2344 Meriden Waterbury Turnpike, 750 Meriden Waterbury Turnpike, 156 School Street, 216 Flanders Road and 828 Meriden Waterbury Turnpike in Southington.

  • First-degree criminal mischief (five counts)
  • Unlawful discharge of a firearm ( four counts)
  • First-degree reckless endangerment (three counts)
  • Criminal use of a firearm (five counts)
  • Criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault (two counts)

An additional $500,000 court-set bond was assigned to the case, police said.
