A pair was charged after an incident at a Southington hotel, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Two were arrested after an altercation at a Southington hotel, police said.

On Saturday at 9:47 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Holiday Inn Express, 120 Laning St. for an argument. The staff reported that the Steven Lopez and Pamela Suriel had been warned once about arguing, but they had not stopped, police said. The staff received more complaints and wanted them removed from the property, according to a report.

They agreed to vacate the room and leave the area, but as officers were still at the scene, Lopez returned and refused to leave, police said. Suriel also returned to the property and she was also taken into custody, police said.
