Southington police said in the summer of 2024 the SPD received information regarding a male and female, distributing narcotics within the Town of Southington.
The Southington Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) commenced an investigation and was able to identify the individuals involved.
Investigators were able to obtain and submit affidavits to the New Britain Superior Court to charge the two as well as a search warrant for the room they were living in at a local hotel.
On Oct. 4, police said law enforcers located both suspects and they were taken into custody.
A subsequent search of their room yielded, police said, approximately 16.46 grams of “crack” cocaine, 150 bags of fentanyl, $195in cash, two digital scales, and packaging material — all of which were seized.
