2 Lucky Southington Children Will Light Town's Holiday Displays
Southington is staging a contest to find two lucky "switch flippers" to kick off the 2021 holiday season.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — The holiday light displays on the Southington and Plantsville Town Greens are scheduled to be turned on for the season at 5:30 p.m. on on Dec. 3 and the Southington Recreation Department is inviting two young residents — one at each location — to flip the switches.
Southington residents (including residents of Plantsville, Marion and Milldale) ages 3 to 10 are eligible enter online for a chance to be chosen as one of the official "switch flippers." Immediate family members of the selected children are welcome to assist on the day of the event.
Only one entry per child will be accepted via an online form. Winners will be selected from a random drawing of all eligible entries on Dec. 1, and will be notified by telephone. The entry deadline is Nov. 30n at 11:59 p.m.
