$3M Lotto Ticket Purchased In Southington: Lotto Officials
The Nov. 8 winning Mega Millions ticket was sold at a Southington gas station/convenience store.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — The numbers 25, 28, 42, 64, 69 may sound like something an NFL quarterback would say at the line of scrimmage.
But for one customer at a Southington Cumberland Farms store, they are a life-changing sequence that has instantly brought them a newfound prosperity.
That's because the Mega Millions drawing on Nov. 8 featured a $3 million winner and, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp. Tuesday, the winning ticket was sold in Southington.

More specifically, the $3 million bit of good fortune was purchased at one of two Southington Cumberland Farms in town.
Mega Millions is a multi-state drawing game that pays off massive jackpots, but, due to the number of players and states involved, the odds of winning that much are astronomical.

The winner in Southington correctly guessed the main numbers but missed the multiplier ball, meaning the maximum prize wasn't won.
Still, the individual isn't likely complaining about the $3 million payout.
The next Mega Millions drawing was slated for Tuesday, Nov. 12, with a $361 million jackpot.
Southington is home to two Cumberland Farms stores, one on Queen Street and the other one on West Street. It wasn't yet clear which won sold the winning ticket.
