Absentee Ballots In Southington, What You Need To Know
Southington voters can now obtain absentee ballots for the Nov. 3 election, with completed ballots due by 8 p.m. Election Day.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington voters planning to cast absentee ballots in the 2026 election can apply without providing a reason or excuse under a recently enacted state law.
According to the Southington Town Clerk's Office, voters must be registered in Southington and submit an application to the Town Clerk's Office before an absentee ballot can be issued.

- Online: Applications can be completed and submitted through the Connecticut Secretary of the State's Absentee Ballot Application Portal.
- Printable application: Voters can download an application through the town's website.
- In person: Applications are available at the Southington Town Clerk's Office during regular business hours.
- By phone: Voters can call the Town Clerk's Office at 860-276-6211.
- Military and overseas voters: Military personnel and people temporarily living overseas may use a Federal Post Card Application to register and apply for an absentee ballot.
The Town Clerk's Office is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The town is encouraging residents using paper applications to submit them as soon as possible.
