Age-related changes can impact healthy eating for seniors

healthy eating, older adults, Hartford HealthCare, senior services, Jefferson House

BERLIN – It is no secret that as people age, their bodies change and so do their nutritional needs. Jack Hodes, dining services director of Jefferson House in Newington, will lead a free program on this topic on Friday, Feb. 10 (new date), at 1 p.m., at Berlin Senior Center, 33 Colonial Drive. Topics will include how age-related changes can affect the way the body processes food, which influences dietary needs and appetite.

This program is sponsored by Jefferson House, a department of Hartford Hospital, which offers short-term/outpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing and palliative care.

Space is limited and registration is required. To register, call Berlin Senior Center, 860.828.7006.
