On Amazon Prime Day, Donate School Supplies To Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT — With schoolchildren's summer vacation at its approximate halfway point, the time is now to start thinking about back-to-school shopping.

And the Southington Community Services department is hoping folks keep that in mind, especially since Amazon Prime Day was Wednesday and the town has set up a "Back-to-School Amazon Wish List."

On that list is a variety of much-needed school supplies that community services hopes to collect for qualified Southington students entering grades K-12.

The hope is to purchase new backpacks with school supplies, along with a $20 voucher to purchase more supplies.

"A new school year means a new beginning and we believe that it is important that every Southington student should start off the year with new school supplies," wrote Southington Community Services.
