Amid Volunteer Push, Southington FD Adds Three
The hybrid Southington Fire Department has a trio of newcomers to its volunteer ranks as it looks to add more.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — At a time when volunteer firefighters are always needed, Southington's ranks grew by three this week.
The Southington Fire Department, which is a hybrid paid/volunteer firefighting agency, announced three new volunteer probationary firefighters this week.
They are Tyler Cloutier, Connor Butkiewicz and Nathan McLellan, according to the SFD.

The trio is taking part in a nine-week training course within the department before embarking on Firefighter I training.
Their arrival comes as the department is looking to fill out its ranks with volunteers, regularly posting calls for volunteers.
