SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Public Library has officially opened its new outdoor terrace, giving visitors a new space for reading, studying, and outdoor relaxation.
Library officials announced the opening last week, describing the project as “a long time coming” and thanking residents for their patience during the process.
Located on the library’s second floor, the terrace offers outdoor seating, public Wi-Fi access and views overlooking the surrounding area.
The terrace will be open daily from 9 a.m. until 30 minutes before the library closes, weather permitting.
Library staff said the project was made possible through donations from community supporters.
Officials encouraged residents to use the space for reading, remote work, or simply enjoying time outdoors during the warmer months.
