SOUTHINGTON, CT — Longtime community advocate Dawn Miceli has been awarded the 2025 Southington UNICO Gold Medal Award in recognition of decades of service and leadership in the community.
Miceli was honored during a recent ceremony at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, where community members gathered to celebrate her contributions to Southington through civic, cultural and volunteer initiatives.
State Rep. Chris Poulos, D-Southington, attended the event and praised Miceli's longstanding commitment to the town.

The UNICO Gold Medal Award is presented annually to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the community through service and leadership.
Poulos also noted that UNICO's motto, "Service Above Self," reflects the example Miceli has set through her years of involvement in local causes and organizations.
