SOUTHINGTON, CT — Comprehensive Orthopaedics & Musculoskeletal Care has opened a new 24,000-square-foot medical facility in Southington, expanding its orthopaedic, imaging, urgent care and rehabilitation services under one roof.
The new facility, located at 601 N. Main St., is designed to provide patients with access to diagnosis, treatment, and recovery services at a single location.
"Today marks an exciting milestone for our practice and the patients we serve," said Dr. Aaron Covey, managing physician of Comprehensive Orthopaedics & Musculoskeletal Care. "This new facility was thoughtfully designed to provide patients with a seamless healthcare experience — from diagnosis and treatment to rehabilitation and recovery. By bringing advanced technology, urgent orthopaedic care, imaging, and physical therapy together under one roof, we're able to deliver more convenient, efficient, and comprehensive care than ever before."
The facility includes four patient care pods, a new GE MRI system for diagnostic imaging, on-site X-ray services, and a physical therapy and rehabilitation gym.
It also houses Ortho OUCH Urgent Care, the practice's walk-in orthopaedic urgent care center, which is open seven days a week for acute injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
Patients can receive orthopaedic evaluations, casting, bracing, and diagnostic imaging without an appointment.
The practice provides surgical and non-surgical care for a range of conditions, including sports injuries, joint replacement, hand and wrist disorders, foot and ankle conditions, spine care, shoulder and elbow injuries, pain management, fracture care, and rehabilitation.
Founded in 1999, Comprehensive Orthopaedics & Musculoskeletal Care serves patients throughout central Connecticut with additional locations in Wallingford, Meriden, and Cheshire.
The practice was slated to celebrate the opening of the Southington facility with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the Southington Chamber of Commerce.
That event was scheduled for Thursday, July 9, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the new facility.
Community members, local officials, healthcare partners, and members of the public were expected to attend.
The celebration was to include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, guided tours, opportunities to meet providers and staff, and light refreshments.
"This facility represents the future of orthopaedic care in our region," Covey said. "We are proud to continue serving our community with a level of care that combines advanced medicine, innovative technology, and a personalized approach focused on helping every patient achieve their best possible outcome."
