SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Joe & Kay Calvanese Foundation will host its annual Reds, Whites & Brews Beer & Wine Tasting Festival on Thursday, July 16, bringing together beverage vendors, local supporters and community members to raise money for charitable programs serving the Southington area.
The fundraiser will run from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Aqua Turf Club, 556 Mulberry St. in Plantsville.

Attendees will also have access to premium wine and spirits tastings presented in partnership with Worldwide Wine & Spirits, along with a champagne tasting area, VIP experience, raffle prizes, and food provided by the Aqua Turf Club and participating vendors.
Founded in 1996, the Joe & Kay Calvanese Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports local schools, community programs, and charitable organizations serving Southington residents.
The organization was established to honor the legacy of Joe and Kay Calvanese, longtime Southington residents known for their community service and philanthropy.
"This festival is one of our most anticipated fundraising events of the year," Kathy Reinhard, treasurer of the Joe & Kay Calvanese Foundation, said in a statement. "Not only does it bring people together for an enjoyable evening, but it also helps us continue supporting the organizations and programs that make a meaningful difference in our local community."
According to the foundation, proceeds from the event will benefit its charitable giving throughout the region.
Tickets are available in advance, and organizers encourage attendees to purchase them early due to the event's popularity.
