SOUTHINGTON, CT — Adults with an interest in dinosaurs, fossils, and paleontology are invited to the Southington Public Library for a free educational program exploring the history of prehistoric life.
The library will host "Unearth a Story: The History of Dinosaurs" with Jurassic Classroom on Monday, Aug. 3, at 6 p.m.
The presentation will trace the evolution, adaptation, and legacy of dinosaurs from the Mesozoic Era to modern-day birds while examining what scientific discoveries reveal about prehistoric life.
Attendees will have the opportunity to view real dinosaur fossils and high-quality fossil casts during the program.
The presentation will also explore the differences between popular depictions of dinosaurs in movies and current paleontological research.
The event is free and open to adults.
