SOUTHINGTON/BERLIN, CT — A Berlin resident's trip to a Southington store resulted in a very profitable venture beyond the basic shop purchase.
According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., the individual walked away with $50,000 after winning a lottery drawing game on Wednesday.
Though not the top payout, the $50,000 winning represents a decent investment for the player.
The winning ticket — the $2 Million Jackpot game — was purchased at Jay's Interstate, 11 Marion Ave., in the Plantsville section of Southington. It is a Mobil gas station and convenience store.
The game costs $1 to play, and players can purchase several tickets.
