Angi Shearstone Art Show & Reception

Artist Angi Shearstone, originally from Southington, is the featured guest artist at Gallery 25 in New Milford, CT.

The exhibit runs from April 29 through June 12, and features work created during and inspired by her Artist-in-Residence stay at Weir Farm National Historic Site in February 2016.

Located at 25 Church Street in New Milford, CT, Gallery 25 is a cooperative fine art gallery for western CT area professional and emerging artists and artisans, representing all media of visual fine art, sponsored by the New Milford Commission on the Arts.

Angi Shearstone is an award-winning professional artist with an MFA in comics, a small herd of cats, strong geek tendencies and a great love for ska-core. In addition to creating and selling fine art, Angi has worked in children's books and comics as an illustrator and writer, and is currently working on a series of novels.

She grew up in Southington, graduating from Southington High with the class of 1987. She displayed her art and taught a workshop on Chinese Brush Painting at the Southington Library in January 2016.
