Another Arrest Made in Southington Dump Truck Brawl

The incident took place a month ago in Southington.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A fifth arrest has been made in a summertime brawl involving a tipped over motorcycle and stolen dump truck, police said.

At 5:50 p.m. on Monday, Jeffery Jimenez, 20, of Bristol, surrendered at SPD headquarters after learning he had an active arrest warrant, police said.

The warrant was stemmed from an incident that occurred in Southington on Aug. 24, police said.

Jimenez was processed and charged with first-degree larceny, third-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace 2nd Deg. Jimenez was released on a $10,000.00 surety bond and was given a court date of Oct. 2 in Bristol, police said.

The incident took place at 1:51 a.m. on Aug. 24, according to police Southington police were called to Lady Slipper Lane for a reported disturbance in the road, according to a report.

Police began tracking a group of males that fled the area in a dark red vehicle and a dump truck and they located the red vehicle on West Street, according to a report.

Officers determined that the occupants of the vehicle were involved in the disturbance, during which two men were assaulted, a motorcycle was knocked over and a dump truck was stolen, according to a report.
The assault victims suffered minor injuries, police said. One was treated at an area hospital and the other was treated by paramedics at the scene, police said.

The dump truck was recovered in close proximity to the incident location, police said.
Police said those arrested were:

  • Tremell Cole, 19, of 46 Collins Road, Bristol
  • Devin Morales, 20, of 132 Wolcott St. Bristol
  • Angel Valentin, 18, of 112 Lasalle St., New Britain
  • Akeil Booker, 19, of 817 Ellington Road, South Windsor

They were each charged with second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief, first-degree larceny and related conspiracy charges.

In addition to his arrest locally, Morales was found to have an extraditable outstanding arrest warrant out of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Tampa, FL., police said.
