Man Charged After Car Chase Through Southington, Wolcott: SPD
The incident started in Southington and ended in nearby Wolcott, with an SPD cruiser damaged in the late-night chase.

SOUTHINGTON/WOLCOTT, CT — An Ansonia man was taken into custody by Southington police after a wild police chase Wednesday night that went through town and ended in nearby Wolcott.
In the incident, which happened at 10:37 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, a Southington Police Department cruiser was damaged during the pursuit.
Once apprehended, Ansonia resident Harrison Regan, 33, was charged with interfering with a police officer; second-degree reckless endangerment; first-degree criminal mischief; misuse of plates; improper tires; engaging police in pursuit; not having insurance; driving an unregistered motor vehicle; reckless driving; improper window tints; and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Police said Regan was being held on a $100,000 bond pending arraignment in court.
According to the SPD, an officer attempted to stop a white Acura sedan on Queen Street with a misused registration, but the Acura sped away.

A Flock notification, however, alerted officers that the vehicle was in the area of Marion Avenue traveling southbound, according to police.
Police said officers located the vehicle and deployed stop sticks as the vehicle drove west on Meriden Waterbury Turnpike.
The vehicle continued to flee westbound on Meriden Waterbury Turnpike towards Wolcott, police said.
According to police, the Acura was again located parked in a parking lot in Wolcott, fleeing from Southington police officers as the chase resumed, and a police cruiser was damaged.
Police said the vehicle then traveled to an adjacent parking lot in the area, and an unknown passenger jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
Southington police were able to stop the suspect vehicle in the parking lot and remove the operator, later identified as Regan, taking him into custody.
Attempts to locate the passenger were unsuccessful, police said.
