Anti-Trump Graffiti in Southington Driveway Prompts Police Investigation

An anti-Trump message was written by vandals in chalk on a Southington driveway, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Anti-Donald Trump rhetoric written in chalk is being investigated by Southington police.

On Tuesday, Southington police responded to a residence on Olson Drive after receiving a report of
vandalism to the driveway.

Police said someone used chalk to write remarks critical of the residents' support of President Trump in the 2016 election.

The message was to the effect that the residents' ancestors were immigrants and that in supporting Trump, the residents were supporting "the deportation of themselves," police said.

The message called the residents “bigots” and “racists” and also made fun of the home’s Halloween decorations, police said.
