An area Dick's Sporting Goods store has closed without warning.
SOUTHINGTON/PLAINVILLE, CT — The closest Dick's Sporting Goods store to the local market has closed without warning. That was the word via a voice message at the Plainville store this week. No reason was given for the closure and customers on Thursday were directed to the Newington store.
A call to Dick's media representatives was not immediately returned Thursday morning. A returned email from the same entity indicated that responses could take two days to process.
