Champlain College, Burlington VT

  • Amber Daley of Southington has been named to the Champlain College Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. Students on the Dean's List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester. Daley is majoring in Computer Networking & Cybersecurity.

Le Moyne College, Syracuse NY

  • Lauren Zazzaro, of Southington, has graduated from Le Moyne College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and has been named to the spring 2019 Dean's List. To make the list, students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or above. Le Moyne's 68th commencement took place on Sunday, May 19, at the New Your State Fair's new Exposition Center.

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

  • Rochester Institute of Technology conferred some 4,200 degrees this academic year at all its campuses--including in Croatia, Dubai, Kosovo and China. The university held its 134th annual commencement celebration in May. Southington students receiving degrees were Tyler Czupryk, BS in electrical engineering; Sylvia Nguyen, BS in industrial engineering and an ME in industrial and systems engineering; and Reed Truax, BS/ME in mechanical engineering.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

  • Two Southington residents were among 1,598 students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the spring 2019 semester: Caleigh Waskowicz, a member of the class of 2020 majoring in biomedical engineering, and Morgan Shubert, a member of the class of 2020 majoring in electrical and computer engineering. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A-level in courses and projects.
