SOUTHINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

American International College, Springfield MA

• Brooke Garcia, of Southington, has been named to the fall 2018 Dean's List at American International College. Dean's List students are full time students who have achieved a 3.3 to a 4.0 GPA. Garcia is majoring in Exercise Science.

Castleton University, Castleton VT

• Carly Suzio of Southington was recently named to the Castleton University Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year. To qualify for this academic honor, the student must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 3.5.

Coastal Carolina University, Conway SC

• Eight hundred and seventy-five students at Coastal Carolina University earned a perfect 4.0 GPA during the fall 2018 semester. The academic achievement earns them a spot on the President's List. Among those students on the President's List is Alexander Gorr, an Intelligence & National Security Studies major from Southington.

Nazareth College, Rochester NY

• Nazareth College is proud to announce that Blakely Vinal of Southington has been named to the dean's list for the Fall 2018 semester. Vinal is majoring in Occupational Science. A student's grade point average must be at least 3.5 or above, and they must complete 12 credit hours of graded work that semester in order to be included on the dean's list at Nazareth.
