Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT
- Twenty psychology students expanded their worldview over winter session during a global field course in Hawaii. Titled "Cross-Cultural Well-Being and Relationships in Hawaii," the course ran from Jan. 2-11. Students were immersed in the local culture and visited some of the island chain's most breathtaking sites. Among the students was Nicole Christensen of Southington, who majors in Mathematics.

- A number of students from Southington were named to the dean's list at Southern Connecticut State University for the fall 2018 semester. They are Brian Petrucci, Jenna Boccio, Joseph Freer, Kayla Viviano, Keegan Smith, Matthew Torrisi, Nicholas Carbone, Noelle Stepensky, Gabriella Zuk, Madison St. John, Zachary Burleigh, Danielle David, Kendra Kochol, Allison Morris, Amber Fournier, Brianna Gee, Emily Nadile, Jenna Lang, John Rivers, Lauren Graef, Lindsey Witte, Makenna Calabrese, Marissa Mastroianni, Molly Wright, Nicole Fischer, Patrick Straub, Rachel Carmody, Rachel Mouris and Ashley Barry. In order for undergraduate students to qualify for the dean’s list, students must complete 12.0 or more credits in fall or spring and earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or better.
