Around Campus - Southington College Students

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Lasell College, Newton MA

• Megan Palumbo, a Communication student from Southington, presented work at the Lasell College Fall Connected Learning Symposium on December 4. Palumbo presented "The Power of Story."

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• WPI senior Antoine Harris of Southington was named as the NEWMAC Track Athlete of the Week and the 4x100m was recognized as the NEWMAC Relay of the Week, as announced April 16. Harris won the 100-meter dash (10.92) and 200-meter dash (22.00) at the Connecticut College Silfen Track & Field Invitational. His 100m time leads the NEWMAC while the 200m is second. He was also part of the winning 4x100m relay (42.19) along with junior Nick Fleury, junior Alex Rus and sophomore Matt Adiletta. It is the second time the same quartet has been honored this month.
