Arrest Made In Connection With Southington Thefts
A Hartford man has been charged in connection with three theft incidents in Southington.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Hartford man has been charged in connection with three theft incidents in Southington.
One incident took place at Light Metals Coloring on Spring Street in Southington, police said. Police said Steven Maringola, 33, of Hartford, was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, a single count of criminal attempt to commit burglary and three counts of sixth-degree larceny.
On Wednesday, Southington police were told by West Hartford police that Maringola had been located and arrested on a warrant.

Maringola was observed attempting to enter vehicles parked in the Light Metals Coloring parking lot, police said.
Maringola fled the scene on foot.

Maringola is also a suspect in a stolen bicycle case fro an unlocked garage on Stoughton Road in Southington. The investigation by the Southington Auto Theft Task Force also revealed that Maringola had been checking door handles at a separate address on Stoughton Road, police said.
Maringola appeared in New Britain superior court, the following day and his initial $75,000 bond was reduced to $35,000, police said. He is currently being held on the $35,000 bond, police said.
