Arts, Humanities Grants Awarded To Southington Organizations

SOUTHINGTON, CT — More than 600 statewide grants worth $16 million have been allocated to Connecticut non-profit museums and cultural, humanities and arts organizations, including two in Southington.

The grants total 624 in all. The distribution is part of $30.7 million in grants allocated by the state legislature to Connecticut Humanities over the next two years. Grants range from $5,000 to $500,000 to any organization offering cultural, humanities and arts-based projects and activities for the public.

  • Southington Community Cultural Arts: $24,100
  • The Bradley/Barnes Homestead: $10,400

The grants are part of the 2021-23 biennial state budget from Connecticut Humanities through its Connecticut Cultural Fund. The grants assist organizations recovering from the pandemic and aid them in serving their communities.
