B&V Jewelers’ special event benefits Southington YMCA
Downtown business hosts gold buying event on Sunday and Monday at 76 N. Main St. to support the Y. Stop by the meet Andy Bawa.

B&V Jewelers, located at 76 N. Main St., will be hosting a gold buying event on Sunday, April 22 and Monday, April 23 to benefit the Southington YMCA. Andy Bawa, owner of B&V Jewelers, said supporting his community is important to him and this is just one additional way he could use his expertise in the business to help others.
“We’re thrilled that b&v Jewelers has selected the Southington Y to donate a portion of the proceeds from the buying event. Andy has been a strong supporter of the Y and has shared his appreciation for what we do in the community. We’re truly thankful for his support,” said Shannon Eterginio, director of community development, Southington Community YMCA.
The gold buying event will be held Sunday, noon to 5 p.m., and Monday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 76 N. Main St. Bawa said 10 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Southington Y’s Annual Support Campaign. Customers are welcome to bring in broken jewelry, coins, flatware, jewelry, watches, artwork and diamonds.
