Beloved Southington School Aid Mourned

Southington school board members recently honored the veteran paraprofessional, who died last month.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A beloved Southington High School paraprofessional for more than three decades was honored by the school board earlier this month following her death last month.

Southington Board of Education Chairperson Colleen Clark called for a moment of silence to honor Priscilla Kolpak — or "Mrs. K" as she was known to many SHS graduates over a three-decade period of time.

Clark said Kolpak started working for SHS in her mid-20s in 1978 and retired more than 30 years later.
