Big Book Sale Discounts Available At Southington Library
The Southington Friends of the Library is hosting a major book sale at its library store this month.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — When the weather cools and summer turns to fall and winter, settling down with a good book is a common means to pass the time indoors.
With that in mind, the Southington Friends of the Library is hosting a special book sale this month to prepare for those cozy, New England days.
The organization's bookstore inside the Southington Public Library, 255 Main St., Southington, is currently amid a 50 percent off sale through Sept. 28.

The sale, which started on Monday, Sept. 16., aims to move the library's stock of donated books to make room for more.
It also aims to raise cash for library programs and needs not covered in the budget, an especially important charge given that construction of the library's new building is nearly complete.

In addition to half-price books, the library's stock of puzzles is also half-price — another quintessentially relaxing endeavor when the New England air begins to chill.
The bookstore is open six days a week from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. It is also open from 2 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
