Block Party To Celebrate Southington Church's 300th
The event on Sunday afternoon, May 19, marks the First Congregational Church of Southington's 300th birthday.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — A prominent church in Southington is celebrating a major birthday and the entire community is invited to a big celebration Saturday.
The First Congregational Church of Southington is celebrating 300 years, a milestone being recognized all year long.
But on Sunday, May 19, the church hosts a "Community Block Party" to mark the occasion at 37 Main St., Southington, from 1 to 4 p.m.

It will feature fun for the entire family, including clowns, an inflatable maze, face painting, crafts, music, food, and more.
The free event will include a special jazz concert by the Small Town Gamblers jazz group.

Prior to the block party, guests are also invited to the church's Pentecost worship service, which is at 10:15 a.m.
