The Blue Knights Marching Band is again partnering with the American Legion Post 72 to host its 7th annual Veteran's Day concert. This concert has become a favorite event of our community and the band members who participate.
Sara Ossias, the director of bands, calls this a wonderful event. She says, "The kids really enjoy playing the music we select each year and it is amazing to see the reaction of the crowd, especially during the armed forces salute."
Dan Minton, a class of 2018 senior, will be performing in his 4th Veteran's Day concert. The concert has special meaning for him since several of his family members have been in the military, and he will be joining the military himself. He says, "I really like it because people take pride in the branch they are in, and they like to stand up and salute the flag. It is really a shining moment."
