Bottle-Smashing Donnybrook Leads to Charges for Southington Man
The incident was at a local restaurant over the weekend.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Southington man is facing a number of charges after a weekend beer bottle donnybrook at a local pub and restaurant.
Southington police released details of the incident on Wednesday.
At 12:56 a.m. on Saturday, police received received a report of a Fight at 75 Center, a pub and restaurant located at 75 Center St. in Southington, according to a news release.

A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Morgan Slade, 22 of Meriden Ave., Southington, police said. He was charged with a two counts of second-degree breach of peace, two counts of third-degree assault and and two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, police said.
Slade posted a $25,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on

May 30, police said.
Police said Slade allegedly struck another patron with a beer bottle, causing lacerations to the person's forearm and hand.
As the fight was being broken up, a 75 Center staff member was struck in the neck by the broken bottle as he was attempting to subdue Slade. The staffer suffered lacerations to the neck and back of the head, police said.
After the altercation Slade fled the scene and was later taken into custody at a local hospital after he received medical treatment for his injuries, police said.
Both Victims were treated and released from local hospitals for their injuries.
