Business Replaces Stolen Benches at Southington Church

SOUTHINGTON — A Plainville company that helped rebuild First Baptist Church on Meriden Avenue more than six decades ago has replaced benches stolen recently from a prayer garden, church officials told the Record-Journal.

The crime was not reported to police, a law enforcement spokesman said

Church Pastor Sharon Holt told the R-J she she is "encouraged by the good will that followed the loss of the original metal benches, which were discovered to be missing last Sunday."
