Admission is FREE. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. Food 
&amp; beverages are available to purchase on site, or you may bring your
 own. (NOTE: Alcohol is prohibited per Town Ordinance.) Weekly car show takes place behind the mobile stage during the concert, 7:00-9:00 PM.
No dogs allowed except for those trained to provide a
 specific service to individuals with a disability (therapy or emotional
 support animals are not permitted).

The 22nd annual "Touch-A-Truck" event is proudly co-sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 72 and the Town of Southington&nbsp;Recreation Department. This year's event will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 (rain date: Sunday, May 17).
The event takes place on the grounds of the Southington&nbsp;Drive-In at 995 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, Plantsville&nbsp;and runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The admission fee is $4.00 per child (no fee for accompanying adults).
NEW! This year, 10:00-11:00 AM will be designated as a sensory-friendly quiet hour. During this time, there will be no horns, sirens, or flashing lights. Those wishing to participate with full sound &amp; light effects should plan to attend between the hours of 11:00 AM-2:00 PM.If you wish to participate in this event with a vehicle, please call Tracy (American Legion Auxiliary contact) at 860-681-9652.

This year, we’re bringing the community together not just to walk, but to gather for a&nbsp;Purple Picnic&nbsp;celebration afterward (Food&nbsp;provided by EFCT).
This family-friendly event is all about connection, support, and showing our strength as a community. Walk alongside individuals and families impacted by epilepsy.
Vendors will be on site sharing resources, services, and information designed to support those living with epilepsy and their caregivers. Whether you’re coming to honor a loved one, meet others who understand your journey, or learn more about epilepsy, we can't wait to see you!
Any teams who fundraise $100 or more, will receive a free sign with their team's name on it!
Wear your purple, and join us for a meaningful day of awareness, advocacy, and community.
