Southington Rotarys 2nd Bags of Hope for Children

Event Details

Southington Public Library, 255 Main St, Southington, CT, 06489

The Southington Rotary Club is hosting it's “Bags of Hope” service project on Thursday, June 4th from 6:00–7:30 PM at the Southington Library (255 Main Street, Southington CT).

This project supports children who are removed from their homes for safety reasons, often with little more than the clothes they’re wearing. Together, we’ll assemble bags filled with toiletries, comfort items (such as stuffed animals, coloring books, activity books, or inspirational books for teens), snacks, and other essentials. For a child facing uncertainty, these bags offer a small but meaningful sign that they are seen, cared for, and not alone.

We warmly invite our community to join us and participate. With 4,000 children in Connecticut’s foster care system on any given day, and 20 new foster placements needed daily, our collective impact can reach these children who would deeply appreciate a bag filled with hope. We are not looking for donations, just your two hands and your heart.

We will be providing pizza since the event falls during dinnertime.Thank you.
