College of Saint Rose, Albany NY
- Congratulations to Elizabeth Woods of Southington for being named to the spring 2019 Dean's List at The College of Saint Rose. Full-time undergraduate students who complete a minimum of 12 graded credit hours, and who achieve a semester average of 3.5 with no D, F, or Incomplete grade, are eligible for the Dean's List.
Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

- Eastern Connecticut State University's Biology Department hosted its annual honor society induction and award ceremony on April 26. At the event 33 new members were inducted into the Tri-Beta National Biological Honor Society and 12 students were awarded for their outstanding accomplishments in the department. Among the honored was Jonathan Rappi of Southington, who majors in Biology. Rappi received a biology research award for his quality performance on an independent study project.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA
- Morgan Shubert of Southington, a member of the class of 2020 majoring in electrical and computer engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), was a member of a student team that recently completed an intense, hands-on research through the WPI project center in Yerevan, Armenia. The project was titled Empowering Armenians Through Poverty Stoplight. In their project summary, the students wrote, "Our project aimed to adapt the indicators of poverty to Armenian conditions and portray the potential of adopting the tool to nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies."
