Campus Notes - Southington College Students

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• The women's swimming team at Eastern Connecticut State University began its 24th season of competition this fall 2019 semester. Among the student athletes on this year's team is Kerry Buchanan of Southington, who majors in Art. This is Buchanan's first year swimming as an Eastern Warrior.

Goodwin College, East Hartford CT

• Goodwin College announces 627 students achieved Dean's list status for the summer 2019 session. Dean's List inclusion requires a student to earn a minimum 3.5 GPA, the equivalent of an A- average, during a given academic session. The student must also be enrolled in a minimum of six academic credits to qualify. These students from Southington made the Dean's List: Sarah Lord, Douglas Remsen, Amanda Seamon, Alyssa Gemmell, Alyssa Kizilski, Danielle Makles, Elsa Pasha, Cassandra Rotondo, Clare Shaw and Daniel Woods.
