Car Rental Company Can Now Use Public Sewers

SOUTHINGTON, CT - A car rental company is being allowed to use the municipal sewer system under certain conditions.

The Southington Sewer Committee last week granted Enterprise Rent-a-Car permission to discharge wastewater from its car wash facility into the newer system, provided crews use non-phospherous detergents

The establishment is at 966 Queen St.

The estimate is that the car wash would use 1,000 per day, according to the meeting minutes.
