Cedar Mountain Commons residents donate bears to fire department

NEWINGTON - A Teddy Bear Tea was held at Cedar Mountain Commons to celebrate International Teddy Bear Day, Oct. 27 – President Theodore Roosevelt’s birthday. Residents were generous in donating new bears to be given to children and families following traumatic situations. Newington Fire Marshal Chris Schroeder visited Cedar Mountain Commons on Oct. 28 to collect the box of bears. Cedar Mountain Commons, a department of Hartford Hospital, is a not for profit independent and assisted living community located at 3 John H. Stewart Drive in Newington.
