Celebrate Chicken Wings At Southington's Annual 'Wing Fest'

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Chicken wings will take center stage in Southington next week as area restaurants compete for a $1,000 cash prize and bragging rights during the 20th annual Wing Fest.

The Southington Regional Chamber of Commerce will host the event Monday, Nov. 9, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Cadillac Ranch Restaurant in Southington.

The annual competition brings together area restaurants to determine who serves the best chicken wings, with attendees getting an opportunity to sample the entries and vote for their favorites.

This year's competition will feature celebrity judges known as the WingAddicts, who have sampled more than 1,000 wings and will evaluate more than 30 varieties during the event, according to organizers.

Competing restaurants will vie for the Golden Chicken Trophy, a $1,000 cash prize, a television appearance, and bragging rights.

Attendees will also help select the Fan Favorite winner through voting.

Admission includes wing samples from every participating restaurant, along with complimentary macaroni and cheese and dinner rolls.

A live DJ will provide entertainment throughout the evening, and a cash bar will be available.

The chamber is celebrating the event's 20th anniversary, highlighting two decades of bringing local restaurants and community members together for the annual competition.

Organizers said tickets sell out every year and encouraged residents to purchase admission in advance.
