"Celebrate Jesus Gala & Expo" at Aqua Turf Club on October 19

Annual celebration is part ministry fair, banquet and fundraiser

"Celebrate Jesus Gala & Expo 2024" will be held at the Aqua Turf Club, one of Connecticut's premier meeting venues located at 556 Mulberry Street in Southington on Saturday, October 19 from 4:30 to 9:15 pm. Tickets are $85 per person. The event will begin with an exposition consisting of displays by about 30 various Christian ministries across Connecticut. At 6:30 pm, the event will transition into a family-style banquet with 600-700 attendees. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Greg Smalley, Vice President of Marriage & Family Formation at Focus on the Family in Colorado. Dr. Smalley will speak on common challenges that today's marriages and families face, and Godly ways to address them.

Celebrate Jesus will enable attendees to network with other Christians, become aware of many resources available, meet the station's on-air and office staff, enjoy a station recap of the past year, and learn about the station's vision for the future. The event is also one of the station's primary fundraisers of the year. An opportunity to financially partner with the station will be provided.

WIHS is operated by Connecticut Radio Fellowship, a 501c3 non-profit organization. The call letters "WIHS" stand for We're In His Service. The commercial free, listener-supported station has provided listeners with Bible-based hope and encouragement 24/7 since 1969.
