A 96-year-old Cheshire woman was arrested after she allegedly drove through a construction zone and nearly hit an officer, police said.
Louise Ferguson drove around three other cars that were at a stop on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike and Canal Street July 21, according to the Record-Journal.
She allegedly ignored an officer’s commands to stop and forced him to move out of the way of her vehicle. She was charged with reckless driving, failure to obey an officer’s signal and three counts of passing in a construction zone.
