Chip's Restaurant to Open Tuesday in Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The newest location of the Chip’s Family Restaurant chain will officially be open for business on West Street on Tuesday and the 40-something different pancakes on the menu will be available at 6 a.m.

So will everything else at the West Street location Near Exit 31 off Interstate-84.

Dina Bajko, one of the owners, said a friends and family event will be staged Monday to benefit local Alzheimer's causes.

Then Tuesday will mark the official opening, she said.

Chip’s Restaurant has been a landmark in Orange for years and had expanded to Trumbull, Wethersfield, Fairfield and Southbury.

Southington is the latest location.

Chip's is famous for its pancakes, but it also has a creative lunch and dinner menu.
