CHOICES counseling can help older adults with choosing best Medicare plan

SOUTHINGTON – Understanding Medicare can be a complex issue and many people do not know what would be the best option for them. In response, a free Lunch & Learn program about CHOICES will be held Thursday, Oct. 19, noon to 1 p.m. The event will be held at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, Bradley Campus, 81 Meriden Ave.

CHOICES is Connecticut's program for Health insurance assistance, Outreach, Information and referral, Counseling, and Eligibility Screening. Cynthia Del Favero, CHOICES counselor, will present on CT CHOICES programs that provides free, objective, high-quality, and confidential information, counseling and assistance to older adults and persons with disabilities enabling them to understand and exercise their rights, access and receive benefits to which they are entitled, and make more informed decisions. Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging is sponsoring the program.
