CHOICES counseling explains Medicare options

Trying to understand Medicare plans can be confusing and daunting. Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging offers free CHOICES counseling sessions during Medicare’s Annual Open Enrollment Period. Individuals can meet one on one with a CHOICES counselor to confidentially discuss Medicare benefit options that are best for them.

CHOICES is Connecticut's program for Health insurance assistance, Outreach, Information and referral, Counseling, and Eligibility Screening. CHOICES counselors advise, educate and empower individuals to navigate the increasingly complex Medicare system.

In the Southington area, CHOICES educators offer free counseling sessions by appointment at these Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging locations: Southington – Hartford HealthCare HealthCenter, 462 Queen St.; Meriden – MidState Medical Center, 435 Lewis Ave.; New Britain – The Hospital of Central Connecticut, 100 Grand St.
