Collaborative program exams mental health issues

PLAINVILLE – Mental Health 101, a free program on Thursday, June 1 at 6:30 p.m., will provide insights into relevant mental health issues including the opioid/heroin epidemic, schizophrenia, depression/anxiety, dementia and bipolar disorders. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Plainville Public Library, 56 E. Main St. Presenters will be Laurel Reagan, APRN, director of Behavioral Health, Hartford HealthCare at Home, and Pat Rehmer, RN, MSN, president, Behavioral Health Network, Hartford HealthCare. Three community entities are collaborating on Mental Health 101: Hartford HealthCare at Home, Plainville Senior Center and Plainville Public Library. Local resources will also be available to assist residents of New Britain, Southington and Plainville.
