Clemson University, Clemson SC

  • Eric R. Flood of Plantsville graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management and Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Flood was among 3,600 students who received degrees at the May 9-10 ceremonies at Littlejohn Coliseum.

  • Olivia Fischer of Southington graduated from Gettysburg College on May 19, 2019, with a BA degree.

University of New Hampshire, Durham NH

  • Three students from Southington graduated from the University of New Hampshire in May 2019. Students who received the honor of summa cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.85-4.0, and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.50-3.64. Bethany Lopatosky graduated with a MSW degree in Social Work; Jessica Lee graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS degree in Communication Sci & Disorders; and Kristen Loose graduated Cum Laude with a BSCHE degree in Chemical Engineering.

  • Joelle Wankerl, Class of 2021, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2019 semester at the University of Vermont. Wankerl, from Plantsville, is majoring in Neuroscience in the College of Arts and Sciences. To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
