College Accomplishments By Southington Students

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Assumption College, Worcester MA

• Assumption College has announced that Stephanie Edick of Southington has been named to the College's prestigious Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. To receive recognition, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester. The Dean's List is announced following the spring and fall semesters.

Coastal Carolina University, Conway SC

• More than 2,000 Coastal Carolina University students were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. Among those earning recognition on the Dean's List were three students from Southington: Jacob E. Bocek, a Finance major; Jared T. Gavronski, a Management major; and Kayla F. Powers, a Psychology major.

University of Scranton, Scranton PA

• Bailey E. Potter of Southington was among more than 850 bachelor's and associate's degree recipients at its undergraduate commencement on May 26 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre. Potter earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in nursing.
