SOUTHINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Assumption College, Worcester MA

  • Assumption College has announced that Stephanie Edick of Southington, Class of 2020, is one of 493 students named to the College's Dean's List for the fall 2018 semester. Students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester to be included on the prestigious list, which is announced at the completion of the fall and spring semesters.

Nichols College, Dudley MA

  • Approximately 600 Nichols students, including four from Southington, achieved Dean's List or Dean's High Honors status during the fall 2018 semester. Local honorees are Dominic Coppola, Dean's High Honors; Lance Johnston, Dean's High Honors; Brooke Schloesser, Dean's High Honors; and Emily Tinyszin, Dean's High Honors. The Dean's List recognizes students who earned high grades during a single semester. To be on the Dean's List, a student must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.2 for at least 12 credit-hours and receive no grade below a C+ during the semester. A student who earns a grade point average of 3.6 or higher is awarded Dean's High Honors.

Plymouth State University, Plymouth NH

  • Katherine Greer of Plantsville has been named to the Plymouth State University President's List for the fall 2018 semester. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better for the Fall 2018 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. Greer is a Social Work major at Plymouth State.
